Privacy policy
This site has no accounts, no cart, no forms and no analytics — so there is very little to tell you. Here is all of it.

Who this policy covers
This policy applies to kerf.example.com and to email you send us. It is published by D&T Services LLC, trading as Kerf, of [registered business address].
It does not cover what happens after you leave this site for a marketplace listing. Purchases are made on Amazon, Walmart, eBay, and each of those companies is the data controller for everything you do there — the account, the payment, the delivery address, the order history. Their privacy policies govern that data, not this one.
02
What we collect on this site
Almost nothing. This site is a catalogue, not a shop. There are no accounts to create, no cart, no checkout, no newsletter signup and no contact form. There is nothing here that asks you for personal information.
Specifically, we do not:
- set any cookies of our own, or use local storage to identify you
- run analytics, session recording, heatmaps or A/B testing
- embed advertising pixels or social media trackers
- fingerprint your device or browser
- build a profile of you, or sell or share personal information with anyone
If that changes — if we add analytics, for example — we will update this policy and the date at the top of it before the change goes live, not after.
03
Server logs
Our hosting provider, [hosting provider], keeps standard server logs when a page is requested. These typically record the IP address making the request, the time, the page, the referring page and the browser user agent.
We use these only to keep the site running and secure — diagnosing errors, investigating abuse, and understanding load. We do not use them to identify individual visitors, and we do not combine them with anything else. Retention is set by the provider and is short, typically measured in days.
The lawful basis, where UK or EU law applies, is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website.
04
Fonts and third-party requests
The typefaces on this site are downloaded when the site is built and served from our own domain. Your browser does not contact Google Fonts or any other font host, so no request — and therefore no IP address — is sent to a third party to render this page.
The pages you are reading make no other third-party requests. No CDN scripts, no embedded video, no chat widget, no maps.
05
When you follow a link to a retailer
Every buy button on this site is an ordinary link to a marketplace listing. Following one takes you to Amazon, Walmart, eBay, where that company sets its own cookies and applies its own privacy policy. We have no visibility into what you do once you arrive, and we receive no personal information back from them.
We do not currently use affiliate or referral tracking parameters on these links. If we ever do, we will say so here, because such a parameter can tell the retailer that the visit came from this site.
06
When you email us
The addresses on this site are plain mailto links — they open your own mail client, and nothing is submitted through this site. If you write to us, we receive whatever you choose to send: your email address, your name if you sign it, and the content of your message, including any order number or photograph you attach.
We use that solely to answer you and, for a warranty claim, to process the claim. We keep correspondence for as long as needed to resolve the matter and to honour the warranty it relates to, then delete it. We do not add you to a mailing list.
07
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Residents of California, and of other states with comparable laws, additionally have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.
In practice, the only personal information we are likely to hold is an email exchange, so most requests are quick to satisfy. Write to hello@kerf.example.com and we will respond within 30 days.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are defined under US state privacy laws.
If you are in the UK or the EU and you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to your national data protection authority.
08
Children
This site sells cutlery and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
09
Changes to this policy
We will post any revised version on this page and change the date at the top. Where a change materially affects how we handle personal information, we will make that clear rather than leaving you to compare versions.
10
Contact
For any question about this policy, or to exercise a right described in it, email hello@kerf.example.com or write to D&T Services LLC, [registered business address].
For questions about an order, contact the retailer you bought from — they hold the order and can act on it faster than we can. Our support page explains which route to take.
