References to we, us and our mean D&T Services LLC. References to you mean the person using this site.

This is a catalogue and reference site. It describes our products, explains how they are made and how to look after them, and links to the marketplaces that sell them.

You cannot buy anything here. There is no cart and no checkout, and nothing on this site is an offer to sell. Product pages are an invitation to view a listing on a marketplace, where the actual sale takes place.

Our products are sold through Amazon, Walmart, eBay. When you follow a buy link you leave this site and enter into a contract with that retailer, or with a seller operating on that retailer's platform, on their terms.

That retailer, not us, is responsible for:

• the price you are charged, and taking payment
• stock availability and order confirmation
• delivery, delays, and anything that happens in transit
• the return window, refunds, and cancellation rights
• the consumer rights that attach to a purchase made from them

Nothing in these terms limits the statutory rights you have against the seller you bought from. Our support page explains how to start a return.

We take care to describe our products accurately, and we publish specifications because the specification is the product. Even so, descriptions, measurements, materials and images on this site are provided for general information. Manufacturing tolerances apply, and we may change a specification as a product is revised.

Prices shown here are our suggested list price in US dollars and are indicative only. Each retailer sets its own price, which may be higher or lower, and may differ by country, currency and condition — some eBay listings are open-box stock. The price that applies is the one shown at the retailer's checkout.

Where a listing and this site disagree, the listing governs the sale. We may correct errors on this site at any time without notice.

We offer a lifetime warranty against defects in material and workmanship, described in full on our support page. That warranty is given by us and is additional to, and does not affect, your statutory rights against the seller.

It does not cover normal wear, a dulled edge, damage from misuse, or damage from care that contradicts the instructions supplied with the product — including dishwasher use, a board left to soak, or cutting frozen food or bone.

Our knives and shears are sharp tools and are capable of causing serious injury. They are intended for preparing food by competent adults. You are responsible for using them safely and for keeping them away from children.

• Cut on a stable board, never in the hand, and never towards yourself
• Do not use a knife as a pry bar, screwdriver, or on bone, frozen food or packaging
• Never try to catch a falling knife — step back and let it land
• Store on the rail, in a block or in a guard, never loose in a drawer
• Hand wash and dry immediately; a blade in a sink is a blade someone will find
• Keep a dull edge sharp — a dull knife slips, and a slip is how people are cut

Follow the care card supplied with the product. We are not responsible for injury or damage resulting from use that ignores these instructions.

The Kerf name and logo, the text, photography, illustrations, design and code of this site are owned by us or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and trade mark law.

You may read, print and share pages for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy our product descriptions, imagery or branding into your own listings, storefront or advertising, or use our name or marks in a way that suggests an endorsement or partnership that does not exist.

You agree not to:

• use the site unlawfully, or to break any applicable regulation
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or any system behind it
• introduce malicious code, or interfere with the site's operation
• scrape the site at a volume that degrades it for anyone else
• misrepresent yourself as us, or as connected with us

This site links to marketplaces and may link to other third-party sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, their products, or their terms and privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the far side of it.

The site and its content are provided as they are. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties and representations about the site that are not expressly set out in these terms, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that the content is complete or current. Care and technique guidance is general information, not professional advice.

This section does not affect any warranty we give for the products themselves, and nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to the paragraph above, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data, or loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site. Claims relating to a product you bought should be directed to the seller you bought it from, or made under our warranty.

We may revise these terms. The version published here, with the date shown at the top, is the one that applies. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from your use of this site, are governed by the laws of [state], United States, and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
